'The Green and Red of Mayo' is inspired by the lyrics of a Sawdoctors song of the same name and pays tribute to the colours of County Mayo.
All made by hand and sewing machine by Karena in her studio in Tuam, County Galway using her vintage typewriter, linen, brocade, Donegal tweed and sari fabric. Glass beads in vibrant greens and reds have been hand stitched onto the piece which sits in a 4 inch embroidery hoop in a shadow box wooden frame measuring 26 x 26 cm.
