Sunday Best is a stitched textile artwork inspired by my grandad and the men of his generation who dressed carefully for Sunday Mass, in pressed suits, wool coats, and polished shoes. There was a quiet dignity in it, a sense of respect, routine, and pride.
Created using Irish wool, traditional tweed, and sections of vintage Foxford blanket, the piece reflects those garments and the lives lived in them. Each fabric has been thoughtfully selected and composed, creating a subtle, structured composition rooted in memory and place.
