William Butler Yeat's poem "Lake Isle of Innisfree" is a poem that resonates with so many worldwide. These last two years have really challenged us and allowed us time to gather our thoughts . Many yearn to return to the familiar, a place they call home, a place that comforts the soul.
The artist hand dyed the cotton with beet from her garden and has manually typed onto this using her 1957 Smith Corona typewriter. Karena then added hand beading to vintage Irish tweed. Donegal tweed, repurposed and sari fabric complete the piece.
